Multi-Generational Farming
Alpine Meats & Custom Cutting is based at Valleyview Ranch in Malakwa, BC.
The shop and ranch are owned by Terry & Heather Milton, and run with the assistance of their daughter, Lara and her husband Garret, and son, Nicholas and his wife Kendra.
Valleyview Ranch is a multi-generational farm and was originally purchased in 2003 by the Milton family. Terry’s parents, Oscar and Doreen, also moved to the farm to help run it.
Today, Doreen is retired, but still resides on the ranch. Both Lara and Nicholas with their respective families have bought homes adjoining the farm to remain close by and continue their involvement in the family business.

Ranch Development
At the time it was bought, Valleyview Ranch was an old, rundown dairy. Slowly, over the years, it’s been converted into a small cattle ranch, specializing in high-quality, ethically raised Angus and Angus-cross animals. The Alpine Meats & Custom Cutting meat shop is located on the ranch.
The family truly believes in sustainable, regenerative agriculture and farming, where the animals and the land work together to sustain and grow. Their animals are all raised on pasture, and checked daily to ensure animal comfort and growth.
The ranch grows its own winter forage, all animals follow a full vaccination program, and no hormones or growth promoters are used on any of the ranch’s animals.
Valleyview also runs a 4-H beef club, where dedicated youth come and work with the animals, learning about agricultural practices.
